Kairouanese Carpets
The manufacture standards for Kairouanese carpets found below are imposed and upheld by both tradtion and by the government regulatory agencies ONA and INNORP. These standards as well as the first-quality materials used in the production of the carpets determine the grade or rating awarded the finished product by a label affixed by ONA (National Office of Craftsmanship/Artisans) called “dar ettabaa” (the house of labels).
