outiyaThe “Outiya” is an old habit, which is a festival prepared by the family of the bride which proceeds for three consecutive nights right before the ceremony of marriage.

The bride carrying the kessoua, her hands and feet are covered with henna, surrounded by her family and neighbors but is necessary to mention that this is a special festival only for women.

During the day, everyone is activated by their daily work and during the evenings, ladies are generally animated by a folk band composed only by women.

By solidarity and to provide help to the expenses that are often expensive, every women brings with her a contribution depending on their financial situations. Usually, this amount is refunded in a later time.
