Also called Mosque Ibn Khayroun after the name of its founder.
It is one of the three hundred Mosques of Kairouan. It was built (866A.D.) by Mohamed Ibn Khayroun El Maafiri.
It is one of the rare buildings that has preserved its architectural appeal to this day.
Particularly its façade made of sculptured stone including the three doors dating back to the Aghlabid period (800-906 AD).
